The Music Safari’s takes you right into the fabric of the city's music, offering intimate evenings in the homes of a variety of Cape Town musicians or high tea with a musical storyteller. We meet a musician at their home, listen to their music, and hear their stories. Then it’s off to a relevant venue for a performance and a light meal.

JAZZ SAFARI

Part 1
Dinner  (authentic South African) at home of jazz musician, with private show.
Part 2
Visit to jazz club / visit to second musician for nightcap.

ROOTZ REGGAE
- evening
Part 1
Introduction to reggae and Rasta, with our resident reggae storyteller, with Ital (Rastafarian, vegetarian) snacks.
Part 2
Visit to Marcus Garvey community for dancehall session

HIP HOP ROUTE
- evenings
Part 1
visit the home of local hip hop artist for dinner and performance and conversation.
Part 2
Visit the home or studio of a second hip hop artist for performance and conversation.

AFRICAN MUSIC DINNER
- half day
A delightful evening including an authentic African meal and exclusive live music performances. For the guests wanting an expansive and moving experience of Cape Town, with food and music in a magical setting, there isn't a better way than this.
Held at a residence with an award winning 5 level garden, built on the slopes of Table Mountain.
Enjoy 5 star freshly prepared local food including starters, main course, salads and dessert. Paradise Grey has an exquisite wine list to order from, and also offers local beers and soft drinks.

KAYAMANDI -
THE AFRICAN DRUMMING EXPERIENCE
- half day
Join a local guide at the Kayamandi Community Centre and accompany him on a walk highlighting the way of life in his town. He will make various stops along the way, of which the Kindergarten, the library, private homes and “Spaza Shops“ (informal stores) are the most popular.
On return to the centre, there is the opportunity to catch further Kayamandi vibes by participating in a drumming session! With the help and humour of Vuyo, who has experience in the performing arts, even novice drummers will feel the rhythms of African drums at their fingertips!
